CoSM stands for Chapel of Sacred Mirrors. The Sacred Mirrors, a series of artworks by Alex Grey. The Sacred Mirrors series, painted over a ten year period from 1979 through 1988, has developed an international following. The book Sacred Mirrors, in print since 1990, is translated into nine languages. In 1984 Alex and Allyson had a simultaneous vision of building a Chapel, an environment for the Sacred Mirrors series.

Alex and Allyson Grey’s CoSM project is taking shape in its new location outside of New York city. The old carriage building on their property is currently being renovated and will take on a new life, as “Entheon”, the CoSM Visionary Art exhibition Hall.

The new volume of the CoSM journal explores the intersection between human and nature and illustrating some exemplary people who modelling new ways to evolve and rediscover this sacred relationship.

The Chapel of Sacred Mirrors (CoSM) in New York will close at the end of this month. While the chapel will close with a New Year’s Eve party, the project will not come to an end.
