The Bangkok Museum of Contemporary Art published its first book “”Destiny to Imagination” documenting Prateep Kochabua’s surrealist paintings and inspirations. Andrew J West gives an explanation of one of Prateep’s paintings, “Prateep Kochabua – Snail Boat and Dragon Ship”.
The Art Of Big ‘O’ will be a lavish color 8.5 x 11 inch 192 page hard cover book which will feature the finest fantastic artwork and personal stories from some of the most influential and exciting artists of our time. The book will be funded by a crowdfunding campaign.
Australian painter Iain Whittaker’s exhibition Psychopomp travels to Goulburn Regional Gallery from October 3 – 26. Replete with fantastic imagery and seemingly incongruous juxtapositions, this exhibition showcases the results of a 17 year painting odyssey, a process of developing ludicrous yet convincing images with unexpected undertows, where the fantastic is the only way to approach reality with any clarity.
The 2013 Dreams and Divinities travelling exhibition was launched this Spring Equinox in the historical Iglesia St Marcos of Toledo Spain. It will finish this autumn in Paris with a few exhibits and events including a celebration on the Autumn Equinox at La Porte Soleil.
