Dalis Heirs Vienna Phantasten Museum
From June 1st, the Phantasten Museum Vienna , in the Palais Palffy presents an exhibition of the artist group “Dali‘s Heirs”. Seven painters make up the exhibition: Angerer the Elder and Michael Maschka (Germany), Michel Barthelemy (Belgium), Monica Fagan (France), Dragan Ilic Tues Vogo (Serbia), Peter Proksch and Kurt Regschek (Austria).
“Dali‘s Heirs” is an initiative of the Luxembourg art historian Roger Erasmy that has set itself the task of artists whose work the spirit of Salvador Dali, through joint exhibitions. The first exhibition of “Dali‘s Heirs”, which involved ten fantastic painters, was in 2004 in Lyon. Other exhibitions have folowed in many cities throughout Europe: Brussels, Barcelona, Paris, Le Mont-Dore, Wolnzach, Viechtach, Eggenfelden etc. Numerous painters have taken up the invitation and joined Roger’s Erasmy and the international group of artists. The changing selection of the exhibiting artists and the atmosphere has the consequence that every exhibition has its own distinctive impression and is difficult to compare with the previous. This should be particularly true for the first appearance of “Dali‘s Heirs” in Vienna.
The exhibition catalog (48 pages A4) was designed by Peter Proksch.
