The Fiarte is an International art exhibition which takes place yearly in the outskirts of the old city of Grenada Spain. The exhibit was born from the local artist association Glu Glu and has recently grown into a large International exhibit.

This year’s exhibit was organized by ceramicist Yamal Din who chose 125 artists from 36 countries to show their works in the large Churriana Cultural Center. The large and spacious modern Art center has two floors of rooms and mezzanines displaying a variety of different styles of art from around the world.

The exhibit is a patchwork of styles including many surrealists such as Portuguese artist Santiago Ribeiro, Russian artist Konstantin Shakhanov and Spanish artists Andrés López Santiago and Pablo Del Castillo Rodriguez. Introducing visionary art to Fiarte this year are artists Liba WS, Aloria Weaver and David Heskin.

The exhibit was opened on April 13th by Yamal Din, the mayor and the cultural council woman. Liba WS made a presentation of the Visionary Arts Project “Dreams & Divinities” which is being welcomed into Spain with an exhibit planned for 2013.
