Alex Grey and his wife Allyson are both appearing in Munich and Vienna, June 2011, for the very first time to present a series of lectures, workshops, live painting and excerpts from the recently produced movie ” Cosm: The Movie”.
In his paintings, Alex Grey reveals his unique world view. Here we see the human being in all its complexity: the blood vessels, the lymphatic system, the nerve system, bones and all the subtle paths that represent them in the purely energetic dimension. From the skeleton of the anatomy to pure energy – Grey’s works are of such a subtle expression, that one can easily at once grasp their meaning, yet they simultaneously reveal something deeper. A deep existential crisis for the artist brought him back to the meaning of life. Since then he has shared this feeling with thousands of others through his public appearances and live painting. Grey now has a growing fan base all over the world, including many prominent personalities, including Ken Wilber, Deepak Chopra, Julia Cameron, just to name a few.
In October 2010 “Cosm : The Movie” was released; a documentary about Grey’s complete works, exhibited in the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors in New York. 2009, the artist closed CoSM in the city, and has since relocated to village where the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors will once again manifest, this time as complete temple.
