PhanART 2011 – Phantamorgana

Prof. Ernst Fuchs, one of the founders of the Vienna School of Fantastic Realism, will exhibit his artworks in the Bavarian town of Viechtach. In addition to the master Ernst Fuchs, three other internationally successful artists will exhibit alongside him in Viechtach; Viktor Safonkin, Michael Maschka and Reinhard Schmid.

1st Biennale of Fantastic Art

August 26th, 2010 - Leo Plaw Le Saut du Saumon

31 artists from 20 countries and three continents will be participating in the first Fantastic Art Biennale this Autumn in Viechtach located in the Bavarian forest. Under the direction of Lukas Kandl representative artists of the Fantastic Painting will present their artworks. The opening will take place on Saturday 11th September at 7PM. Guest speaker, Gerhard Habarta, the author of the Lexicon of Fantastic Artists will be present.

iPaX 2010 International Fantastic Art Exhibition

In the summer of 2010 in the Bavarian forest, the town of Viechtach is the European host of the IPax 2010 peace campaign. On the initiative of Dali expert Roger M. Erasmy, the famous group of artists “Dalis Erben” (Dalí‘s Heirs) along with guest artists will be exhibited at the Viechtach Old Town Hall.

Dante Exhibition – Viechtach

August 11th, 2009 - Leo Plaw Dante Exhibition Viechtach

Viechtach is a 900 year old town situated in the picturesque countryside of the Bavarian Forest. Some time ago the town of Viechtach decided to put the Alt Rathaus (Old Town Hall) to use as a gallery. Its program of exhibitions have a special emphasis upon Fantastic art. And so the “Dante’s Divine Comedy” exhibition curated by artist and publisher Claus Brusen fitted quite naturally.
