The Angel of the Odd – Dark Romanticism from Goya to Max Ernst

The exhibition, “The Angel of the Odd – Dark Romanticism from Goya to Max Ernst” opens at the Musée d’Orsay. It brings together around 200 works: paintings, drawings, prints and sculptures from the late 18th century to the early 20th century, as well as twelve films from the inter-war period.

Seven painters make up the exhibition: Angerer the Elder and Michael Maschka (Germany), Michel Barthelemy (Belgium), Monica Fagan (France), Dragan Ilic Tues Vogo (Serbia), Peter Proksch and Kurt Regschek (Austria).

The surrealist painter and sculptor Leonora Carrington died age 94 years in Mexico City. The British artist had been taken to hospital in Mexico City on Thursday night because of pneumonia.

Surreal Objects – Dalí to Man Ray – Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt

iPaX 2010 International Fantastic Art Exhibition

In the summer of 2010 in the Bavarian forest, the town of Viechtach is the European host of the IPax 2010 peace campaign. On the initiative of Dali expert Roger M. Erasmy, the famous group of artists “Dalis Erben” (Dalí‘s Heirs) along with guest artists will be exhibited at the Viechtach Old Town Hall.
