Artist Otto Rapp celebrated his birthday, surrounded by his fellow artists. Many colleagues had come, and waited to surprise the birthday boy. In addition to numerous gifts, Otto Rapp received a home-baked cake from colleague Bella Volen, which looked and tasted great. Of course the obligatory birthday song was sung.
His birthday celebration also co-incidedwith the Phantasten Museum Christmas party. The atmosphere in the historic rooms of the palace made the occassion.
Erich Peischl, director of the Austrian Cultural Center in Palais Palffy, welcomed the many guests, and then gave the floor to the board member and international businessman Dr. Wolfgang Müller.
Soprano Corinne Herden brought her colleagues Elizabeth Dobie-Sarsam (mezzo-soprano), Brian Bales (bass), Karen Bentley-Bales (piano) and Harry Bentley-Bales (violin) along to the Palais Palffy to perform. The ensemble, perform under the name “Vienna International Singers”.
Dr. Müller generously sponsored the grand buffet, and ensured the good cheer of the revelers until the wee hours of the morning with food and drink.
