Artists

The list of artists presented here is by no means exhaustive and is only a representative overview of associated artists. Some work closely together as friends or in exhibitions or group projects. Others may not even agree on the associations that that others apply to them. That is in part the aim of Fantastic Visions is to document the history and weave of relationships. The other intent is to present the wealth of creativity, imagination and skill of these artists.

Alain Margotton

In the 1980’s and 90’s, Alain Margotton (born 1948 in Argenton sur Creuse) exhibited alongside Di-Maccio, Ruppert, Dietrich and Thomas in Hervé Sérane’s Galerie Râ.

Michel Henricot

Michel Henricot

Michel Henricot was born in 1940 in Douai. Fascinated with the work of Gustave Moreau, Max Klinger, Max Ernst, Egyptian art, and Renaissance Italian painting. Henricot was a close friend of Leonor Fini, Constantin Jelenski, and Stanislao Lepri. His first individual show was in 1961, in Galerie Marignan, Paris.

Max Ernst

Max Ernst 1964

Max Ernst was a German painter, sculptor, graphic artist, and poet. A prolific artist, Ernst was one of the primary pioneers of the Dada movement and Surrealism.

Eli Tiunine

Eli Tiunine

Tiunine Eli was born in 1957 in Warsaw to a family of painters. In 1976 she left Poland for France and was admitted to the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. She graduated in 1981.

Laurence Caruana

Laurence Caruana

Laurence Caruana was born 1962 in Toronto Canada. He graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in Philosophy, and then studied painting at die Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Vienna. In the year 2000 he apprenticed directly under Ernst Fuchs, working as his assistant in his studios in Monaco and Castillon.
